I created this blog to have a place to keep my notes and thoughts, but secondly to deal with the more difficult passages in Scripture that deal with things like apostasy and how it fits into Scripure and Redemptive History. Mainly so readers can have a central place to read commentaries, sermons, and blog posts on this subject, but secondly because there are not many sites out there that have a focus in the area of covenant faithfulness and unfaithfulness. To me it’s a very important subject because it defines where we stand or fall in your belief of God’s grace and sovereignty, and whether we believe that “every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven, even blasphemy of the Son of Man, but whoever speaks a word against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, or the age to come”. I rest with Christ and the rest of Scripture, in that God is longsuffering, patient, and slow to anger, and is eager to forgive sin through the death of His perfect Son, Jesus the Christ. A lot of people struggle with this issue and it is my hope to provide a place where they can come and be assured of God’s unfailing love, and be warned that even there is a point of no return and God does have a limit to his patience, that it is rarely reached!
